A fantastic start to NAIDOC week!!!!

Please check out the exhibition Kareitch Merreng, Waetnanda ....an exhibition of all the Children's creations to combine Peek Whurrong language and Heal Country.

The Children attend the kinder of Warrnambool City Council and the exhibition was curated by my kakay Mel Steffensen. I was invited to be artist in residence at 2 of the kinders- my old kinder... Lions Hopkins kinder and City kinder.
We focused on the Kuyang and caring for country through fire.

This exhibition is absolutely beautiful, so much language and creativity. Well done to Mel, all the other artists, staff, children's services and post importantly my little kupang Al (friends) at kinder.

This is where sharing culture and language highlight the beauty and ability to come together as a community to celebrate language and art.

It's on for the whole of July at The Lighthouse Theatre, upstairs.
