My Heart full of happiness

I have been working on her for weeks, I'm glad I was patient. This unnamed beautiful is extremely special to me, not only because she was a challenge, but because she is for an incredible family who have such a strong connection to our bush. The whole family do everything with our country in mind. So it was my heartfelt privilege to paint them this piece to represent their connection as they are ready to start a new adventure.

They are moving to Switzerland and this piece will hang in their new home, on the other side of the world and remind them that despite distance our beautiful country will always be home. I hope she reminds them of the smells and the sounds of our bushland, the running creek and the creatures that live there.

This is the second piece commissioned by them, the first, a gift for a friend. I'm so proud I got to paint for you Rowena & Karl. Thank you for supporting me, and travelling to see me at Mitchelton. It's these things that are truly special to me in my work... the people I meet and the stories we share.

I'm shedding a tear or two, very happy tears, that she is finished and will travel with you soon.
